SAN FRANCISCO, CA, June 20, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — Rep. Nancy Pelosi kicked off Homosexual “pride” week in San Francisco yesterday by helping Mayor Ed Lee raise the rainbow flag over the city.

“Is there anything better than raising (the gay pride rainbow flag) in San Francisco?” Pelosi, who says she is Catholic but opposes Catholic teaching on abortion and homosexuality, tweeted.

The city has events planned all week to celebrate same-sex “marriage” and the many homosexual legal advances the country has seen in recent years.

“It's the most colorful week of the year in San Francisco,” reported NBC Bay Area, while showing City Hall lit up in rainbow colors, reminiscent of the Obama White House.

Pelosi said at a press conference that more legal work needs to be done to help LGBTQ people feel welcomed.

“We need to have full equality guaranteed by the Civil Rights Act (of 1964) … to the LGBTQ community.  It's got to be done,” Pelosi stated to applause.

But many San Franciscans are not happy to see the rainbow flag, the symbol of homosexuality, exalted over their city. Christians around the nation say that gay activists have co-opted the Biblical symbol of the rainbow and reversed its God-given meaning of covenant.

“God flooded the earth because the iniquity of humanity had gotten far too great … this includes sexual immorality,” said G. Deon Thompson of DeonVsEarth. “When we see thousands of homosexuals marching in the streets with the Rainbow as their flag, they are essentially implying that they are proud of their sexual immorality whether God likes it or not.”

“Keeping in mind that sexual immorality was one of the very reasons God flooded the earth in the first place, we can clearly see how this is a provocative declaration towards the Most High,” the Christian blogger said.

“Whether they realize it or not, the masses who gather together to celebrate their sexual immorality and those who carry these colorful flags are essentially provoking God to wrath in their ignorance,” claims Thompson.  “So the next time you see someone proudly waving the ‘Rainbow’ flag of the LGBT, start the conversation by asking them, ‘What do you think that ‘Rainbow’ Means?’”

San Francisco’s Gay Pride Parade is scheduled for Sunday morning the 25th, during the hour when most Christians are attending worship.
