No one can overestimate the abortion industry's ingenuity when it comes to making a buck, legally or illegally. But our friend Carole Novielli at the Saynsumthn blog has uncovered a new layer of money-grubbing shamelessness: VIP abortions.
She found numerous abortion offices, including the national “A Woman's Choice” chain of abortion providers, offer a few pampering perks to the affluent. Women can have the entire facility to themselves and receive the exclusive attention of the abortionist and his staff, for a few extra dollars.
But wait, there's more!
After the abortion, “[y]ou and your significant other or escort will be ushered to a well-appointed private room complete with a mahogany sleigh bed, luxurious bedding and a flat screen television and free Wi-Fi.”
In some states you will receive “a light meal” after the abortion, or a care package that “includes healing herbal tea in your own Whole Woman’s Health mug, and a personal follow up call several days later from the nurse.”

Such private arrangements are available until 24 weeks into the pregnancy in at least one facility Novielli uncovered.
“What this proves is that abortion is a business and as a business they will offer a range of services that will be marketed to the rich,” Novielli wrote.
