TORONTO, September 26, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) — Toronto Public Health is sponsoring a contest to design the “condomTO” wrapper, promoting it on Facebook with a coarse tagline: “Your art will touch millions. Of genitals.”

“What should Toronto’s official condom wrapper look like? You tell us!” notes the Facebook page, adding that “Submit your artwork & you could be famous-ish.”

Warming to the “famous-ish” theme, there’s also an icky promo called “Condom famous” on the Toronto Public Health website, in which a middle-aged woman accosts a young man, presumably the condom wrapper designer, who is sketching at a bus stop. She hugs him and announces: “You are the reason I don't have chlamydia!”

“You made a beautiful condom,” she adds, while embracing the young man. “I use it a lot.”

Prizes for the contest include a paid internship at ad agency The&Partnership, and courses at Miami Ad School. Councillor Joe Mihevc is among the panel of six judges who will select the 10 finalists.

This appears to be the third year that Toronto has held the design the wrapper contest for “condomTO,” which are provided free at various sites in the city “while supplies last.”
