June 15, 2016 (LiveActionNews) — Police in North Carolina say Meyonna Quantia Miller and Cedrick Mattocks tried to enslave a 15-year-old girl.

The two face felony charges stemming from a human trafficking investigation by the Jacksonville Police Department. A third individual, Seairra Keyanna Coleman, was arrested on misdemeanor drug and prostitution charges as well. According to Lt. Devon Bryan, “The open investigation is ongoing with additional charges and arrests anticipated.” (Police advise anyone with information to contact Sgt. Richard Vellum by phone at 910-938-6508 or by email.)

As stories like this show, human trafficking doesn’t just happen overseas. Even in America, innocent people are forced into slavery, with children often the victims. The abortion industry helps them stay that way.

Abortion benefits traffickers because it keeps their victims profitable, a fact Capt. Jeff Williams of the Dallas Department of Public Safety has testified about. In the video below, a trafficking survivor named Nicole mentions being forced into two abortions, an experience she describes as “the hardest.”

Nicole doesn’t say whether facility staff knew she was being coerced. However, we know that when Live Action investigators went to Planned Parenthood while posing as pimps, they recorded a clinic director offering to arrange abortions on underage prostitutes who “can’t speak English” and “won’t know what’s going on.”

I’m actually not surprised someone at America’s largest abortion chain would help professional abusers. After all, it’s helped amateur ones for years.

It certainly helped Edgar Ramirez. Ramirez habitually raped his 13-year-old daughter, something Planned Parenthood hid by performing two abortions in six months. Although she was well below the age of consent, staff chose not to contact authorities.

Staff at Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains weren’t bothered when Timothy Smith brought his 13-year-old stepdaughter in, either. Despite being warned by Colorado’s Office of Children, Youth, & Families to be concerned when a child under fourteen is “pregnant or contracts a venereal disease,” an employee later admitted that “being thirteen and pregnant alone is not a red flag” there. As a result, Smith kept his crimes hidden and ongoing.

Ramirez and Smith aren’t the only ones Planned Parenthood has aided. Fellow child rapists Gary CrossLuis Gonzalez-JoseAndrew KingJohn HallerAdam GaultGrey David WoodsKevon Walker and John Blanks, Jr. got a hand too. And given the shame and fear that causes many victims to remain silent, there’s no way to know how much abuse Planned Parenthood has enabled.

You can help stop it by supporting anti-coercion laws. Further, you can tell Congress to redirect Planned Parenthood’s half a billion dollars in funding to federally qualified health centers (FQHC) and community health centers (CHCs) instead. Unlike Planned Parenthood, they performed over five hundred thousand mammograms last year. They also didn’t help child rapists and traffickers.

When Texas state representative Molly White proposed legislation requiring abortion facilities to offer a private room equipped with information about assistance programs and a telephone to contact law enforcement, NARAL Pro-Choice Texas derided the move as being “not needed.” Sadly, victims like Denise Fairbanks know that isn’t true. It’s something everyone needs to realize.
