After firing employees who had refused to take the COVID jabs owing to sincere religious objections, NorthShore University HealthSystem will now pay out over $10 million for unlawful discrimination in a first-of-its-kind case.
The Court held that the ‘ministerial exception’ to the First Amendment applied in the case, giving the school the right to hire or fire teachers without government interference.
‘If I can keep you in a state of fear,' executive director Doug Barry explained, 'we can get you to do things. We can get you to move in certain ways. Essentially, we can load you onto a boxcar.’
