Dr. James Reilly joins Amnesty International and feminist groups in demanding that the government hold a referendum on changing Ireland's constitution.
'Amnesty is trying to use its global muscle in a campaign to push abortion on Ireland, but it’s results, much like its message, are less than impressive,' said Niamh Uí Bhriain of The Life Institute.
'It’s nonsense to say a person can be empowered by allowing their body to be as open to the public as a train or bus station,' argued Rachel Moran, a former prostitute.
The vote follows weeks of intense debate on an issue that has split feminists, celebrities, and experts who warn that prostitution is fueling the rise of human trafficking around the world.
