For the first time ever, the faithful will be able to venerate the mortal remains of St. Francis of Assisi in a glass reliquary in Assisi, marking 800 years since the beloved saint’s death.
Marking the eighth centenary of the death of St. Francis, his remains, which had been hidden for centuries, will be on display at the Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi.
