A proposal to legalize euthanasia was roundly rejected by Spain's two biggest parties, which are normally at loggerheads over human life and family issues.
The media campaign comes as Justice Lynn Smith of the B.C. Supreme Court considers the Carter/Taylor case, an attempt by the B.C. Civil Liberties Association to overturn Canada’s ban on euthanasia and assisted suicide.
The commission was chaired by Lord Charles Falconer, an ardent assisted suicide advocate, and was composed almost exclusively of well-known euthanasia and assisted suicide advocates.
