The semantics of brain death don’t lend themselves very well to deliberation without constant clarifications and re-definition of terms. ‘Life support’ is a good example. Think about it: If a person is dead then what purpose does ‘life support’ serve?
Let us hope and pray and work to ensure that this child receives the emergency surgical assistance she needs in order to breathe, so that she can be moved to a place where the living are acknowledged as precious for their own sake alone.
