In 1996, the Federal Government, in a report issued by the Public Health Agency of Canada, stated that: 'Unlike some countries, immunization is not mandatory in Canada; it cannot be made mandatory because of the Canadian Constitution.'
Dr. Julie Ponesse, who was fired earlier this year for opposing her university's COVID shot mandate, said that in her opinion without the 'immovable moral compass' provided by faith, or another deep conviction, people now look to government leaders to tell them what to think and what to do.
