'Canadians can’t be expected to simply take this prime minister at his word, his plans are not consistent with fundamental freedoms, the government should not have the power to close the bank accounts of Canadians on a whim!'
MP Dr. Leslyn Lewis told Justin Trudeau on Wednesday in the House of Commons that the Emergencies Act should only be used in extreme circumstances and that Canadians do not believe he has exhausted all efforts to resolve the situation.
'Every level of government needs to effectively communicate with the population what its plans are with respect to all restrictions, and needs to explain why they are there, and at what point they will be removed.' Liberal MP Anthony Housefather said.
'I will ask the Prime Minister, who may I remind this house wore blackface on more times than he can remember, apologize to the peace-loving patriotic Canadians who are outside right now, just asking to be heard,' Conservative Party deputy leader Candice Bergen said.
'When there is a left-wing protest on Parliament Hill, we don’t see the liberal media going through every single name of the people who attends to try and find one person they can disparage the whole group with,' Pierre Poilievre told reporters.
