A Catholic-affiliated hospital system is allowing four local abortionists to maintain admitting privileges at one of its hospitals, as well as permitting one of them to perform sterilizations, organizers told LifeSiteNews.
“Public hospital districts may not administer or fund programs to provide 'maternity care benefits, services, or information to women' without also making provision for” contraception and for women “to voluntarily terminate their pregnancies.”
Attorney General J. B. Van Hollen said in a court filing that “hospitals accepting federal funds may not discriminate against a physician because that physician has participated in or refused to participate in abortions.”
