God created man and sent His only Son to die for our sins so that we can all be saved. Everything – all truth – flows from God’s pure love for His creation. This is what we need to make known, through our actions and words, to those who do not believe at Christmas time.
In Christ, God entered into human history – into time – and opened it to eternity. Love is born today – and in Him, the world is now being recreated anew.
That God was a babe, a child, fascinates children. They see that He was like them. The fact that he played and sang and was tiny and delightful fills them with a meaning no other gift can supply.
Life has always been a struggle and it always will be, for every person. But it is our responsibility to love each other as Christ did – becoming as vulnerable as a newborn baby and as selfless as the One who gave His life for each of us.
