Today two women gave public testimony about their contact with the now-notorious Fr. Marko Ivan Rupnik, confirming the details they pseudonymously provided in late 2022 about the abuse of which he stands accused.
The Diocese of Koper confirmed to LifeSite that Fr. Rupnik has found a new home in his homeland of Slovenia, meaning that his priestly ministry will continue unabated despite allegations of serial abuse.
Cardinal Fernández has been widely criticized for his handling of allegations of sex abuse while he was Archbishop of La Plata. Since being appointed as one of Pope Francis' top advisers he has played a key role in opening up the blessing of homosexual unions.
A spokesman for the Diocese of Plymouth stated that 'in line with the position being adopted by other dioceses, it has been decided that it would be totally inappropriate to continue to endorse, display, or use any copies of Fr Marko Rupnik’s artwork in any way.'
