Democrat senators introduce constitutional amendment to abolish Electoral College
A handful of Democrats have proposed an amendment to the Constitution that would abolish the Electoral College in favor of a pure popular vote, in a gesture that has virtually no chance of becoming law but will placate disgruntled activists who have long abhorred the system by which America has elected its presidents since the Founding.
