According to an internal email obtained by the Globe and Mail, Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre has instructed his MPs not to comment on Alberta's recent decision to ban mutilating gender surgeries for minors.
'When it comes to the balancing of the parental rights with kids growing into adulthood, I don’t think that there’s anything wrong with parents wanting to protect their child’s innocence as long as possible on issues of sexuality,' Danielle Smith said over the weekend.
Pierre Poilievre's moderate support of parental rights again comes without a condemnation of the LGBT agenda, and just days after his wife told Canadians that he supports killing unborn children through abortion.
The petition also saw Canadians appeal to the ministers of education for all of the nation's provinces and territories to intervene 'to protect our kids from radical woke ideology, sexualization and grooming.'
'A new poll from Angus Reid Institute shows strong support in SK and across Canada for Parental Inclusion and Consent in education with 86% in SK supporting some level of notification for parents when children want to change their gender identity in school.'
While Pierre Poilievre didn't say whether he plans to attend the much-anticipated 'Million Person March' against gender ideology in schools, the normally pro-LGBT politician did say that 'parents should be the final authority on the values and the lessons that are taught to children.'
