Jesus expands the importance of Our Lady when He calls us His ‘mothers and brothers’
In calling His disciples His ‘mothers’ and ‘brothers,’ Jesus was expanding the importance of His relationship with His Mother. He opens up for those with eyes to see the deeper interior significance of Mary’s motherhood and all family relationships renewed by the Holy Spirit.
