'My brother's face is pouring blood,' Josh Alexander told a police officer at the event. 'I warned you ten minutes before it happened. You refused to do your job. I need to speak to an officer.'
High school student John Ott, who organized the walk-out, told Fox on Monday that the protest took place because 'kids were upset' and they wanted to 'protect' girls who 'didn’t want men in their bathrooms.'
‘Catholic institutions … are called to act and speak in ways that are consistent with and affirming of this divinely revealed truth' that 'the human person is a unity of both body and soul and that, body and soul, each person is created in God's image,' the diocese said.
The 18-year-old reminded her fellow high school graduates that regardless of any successes and failures in the future, 'you are still valuable, and you are still good enough because you are made in the image of God.'
High school student Cade Costales, who has been praised across the country for his display of leadership, emphasized to his fellow students that their protests be respectful and peaceful.
