'The Iowa Supreme Court questioned whether this legislature would pass the same law they did in 2018, and today they have a clear answer,' Reynolds said.
The decision concludes a special session called by the governor after the Iowa Supreme Court maintained a block of the law, which has been stalled in court since 2019.
'There is no right more sacred than life, and nothing more worthy of our strongest defense than the innocent unborn. We are reviewing our options in preparation for continuing the fight,' Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds said.
