Iowa Supreme Court rules there is no constitutional right to abortion, upholds heartbeat law
Iowa Supreme Court Judge Matthew McDermott stated that there is no constitutional right to abortion in the state and, consequently, ‘the fetal heartbeat statute is rationally related to the state’s legitimate interest in protecting unborn life.’
