The famous Rupnik mosaics at the Shrine of Lourdes were commissioned for the 150th anniversary of the apparitions in 2008, but alleged victims have repeatedly linked his art to his abuse.
Urging the removal of all displayed artwork by alleged serial abuser Fr. Rupnik, Bishop Strickland wrote, 'There should be no delay, no debate, no consideration, no compromise.'
The bishop of the Diocese of Lourdes and Tarbes announced that a group is examining the future of Rupnik's art, which currently adorns the facade of the basilica.
