Pro-life groups have warned that Jackson is radically pro-abortion, and abortion groups like Planned Parenthood and NARAL have welcomed her confirmation.
Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, a Harvard graduate and former Barack Obama-appointed U.S. Circuit Court judge for the District of Columbia, is expected to vote with the Court’s liberals against pro-life legislation.
The move comes in anticipation of the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson, which concerns a similar 15-week abortion ban and could see the federal right to abortion struck down.
‘[W]e’ve seen how personal engagement with loving, pro-life friends saves lives, and we are proud to fight for our student’s right to have a voice in her school,’ said Students for Life of America President Kristan Hawkins.
