A truly academic atmosphere, especially in the study of philosophy, must naturally involve an openness to all topics and certainly should not be controlled by a sense of 'political correctness,' particularly at a Catholic university, Kainz wrote.
Dr. Daniel Maguire, a well known pro-abortion professor at Marquette University, has surprisingly defended Dr. John McAdams after Marquette's decision to ban McAdams from campus.
'Marquette has again shown itself to be timid, overly bureaucratic and lacking any commitment to either its Catholic mission or free expression,' wrote Dr. John McAdams, who has been suspended and banned from Marquette's campus.
Free speech rights 'are limited when they infringe upon another person’s right to work in an environment free of unlawful harassment,' states the university's anti-harassment presentation.
If Marquette actually cared about ‘leaders concerned for society and the world’ the university would welcome ‘push back’ from students directed toward their professors.
