UK Health Secretary Sajid Javid told Sky News that children aged 12-15 can receive COVID-19 vaccines against their parents’ will if they are deemed “competent enough.”
The passport announcement follows official data, based partly on unreliable results from PCR testing of asymptomatic people, showing an increase in COVID cases in the United Kingdom.
On December 14 Nadhim Zahawi, the minister overseeing the rollout of the vaccine, said twice during a parliamentary debate that the government had 'no plans to introduce so-called vaccine passporting.'
