The U.S. Court of Appeals for D.C. on Tuesday sided with pro-lifers against the same district court in which the 10 advocates for the unborn are being prosecuted for FACE Act violations. The ruling could be good news for the anti-abortion activists, who face up to 11 years behind bars if convicted.
Five of the original nine defendants are currently on trial, with each facing up to 11 years in prison if convicted on federal charges for an October 2020 rescue effort to save unborn babies in a downtown Washington, D.C., facility run by notorious late-term abortionist Cesare Santangelo.
‘I'm sad, not because we're being persecuted by the federal government, but because the federal government is persecuting the unborn,’ pro-life advocate Will Goodman told LifeSiteNews.
'This is a clear abuse of power and a sign that the Biden administration is using the Department of Justice to attack political targets – particularly those of us who believe in the right to life for all human beings.'
