The bill would penalize "any person who maliciously engages in disinformation about the intent or provisions of this Act," a provision that opponents fear will be used against them if they speak out against the law.
It its statement to the General Assembly, the Holy See chastised the attempted imposition of "agendas" that “[do] not advance the well being of peoples.”
