An investigation revealed that the Tavistock clinic was 'not a safe or viable long-term' for children, finding they were often rushed into gender transitioning surgery.
The evidence was part of a court case in the UK, and was released only after lawyers successfully argued there is a ‘significant public interest in disclosing the material.’
The authors now say that gender-confused people who undergo ‘gender-reassignment’ surgery are more likely to be treated for anxiety disorders than those who don’t have such surgery.
