"Contraception is corruption. Contraception is the mother of abortion. Contraception makes sex pleasure cheap without responsibility," said Archbishop Villegas.
'There are many things our country needs before we can even try to consider spending for contraceptives,” said Quirino Representative Dakila Carlo E. Cua.
Under a section titled “So far, so good,” the U.S. ambassador noted, “The use of oral contraceptive pills has increased steadily among the poor (by 30% in the past five years).”
Despite being repeatedly rejected by Filipinos, the Reproductive Health Bill keeps reappearing because it is fueled by mind-boggling amounts of money from international population control organizations.
