85 popular grocery items contained phthalates, study finds
Consumer Reports tested 85 popular supermarket items and found concerning levels of phthalates – plastic chemicals linked to health issues – in all but one. Nearly 80 percent also had bisphenol A. The group is calling for regulators to ban the chemicals' use in food production.
