Reporting on the defective interim report of the Family Synod, the secular media was delighted to broadcast worldwide that there is a pro-gay seismic shift in the Catholic Church.
In his closing address to the Synod Fathers, Pope Francis offered a perplexing vision. the Pope’s own vehement praise, support and promotion of Cardinal Kasper makes one doubt Pope Francis would be including Kasper in the overly progressive camp.
Kasper's apology follows initial outright denials that he made the comments, and then remarks attacking Pentin, the journalist who recorded the interview.
Our unflinching hope is that all the synod Fathers will listen to us and consider the devastating effects that will be unleashed upon millions of faithful families in Africa if our world is redefined and reshaped.
Unfortunately, the Synod has seen many bishops, Cardinals, and gay rights groups advocate for Church to change its teachings on homosexual relationships. This is the spiritual equivalent of parents telling a child to put their hand on a hot stove or run into traffic.
