Progressive Conservative Premier of Nova Scotia Tim Houston has called a snap election for this November, months before the planned July 2025 election.
Prior to the passing of Nova Scotia Bill 419, the CEO of the province's College of Physicians and Surgeons Dr. Gus Grant had warned that the law would make the 'entirety' of patient medical records 'accessible to government.'
'What's stopping relief for everyone are the Liberal MPs that are too chicken to stand up to the prime minister and stick up for their constituents,' Canadian Taxpayers Federation Director Franco Terrazzano told LifeSiteNews.
By 'singling out Atlantic Canadians with this relief, it has caused divisions across the country. All Canadians are equally valued and should be equally respected,' the premiers wrote.
‘We are at a point where we have to have confidence in Nova Scotians’ ability to use the tools available to them without the government telling them that they have to,’ said Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston.
