Every year, Students for Life of America selects a handful of prominent pro-life leaders to take part in our nine week, cyclical internship in and around the Washington, D.C. area. Our Missionaries for Life take turns working in our Arlington, Virginia-based headquarters, in the office of another prominent, national pro-life organization, and then on Capitol Hill. This year, we were ecstatic to work with our 2011 Missionaries who brought enormous tenacity and passion to our team, and we’re even more impressed with how they’ve continued to spread the culture of life since returning to their campuses.

Take for instance Julia Pritchett, President of Students for Life at the University of Arkansas, who has already hit the ground running with a successful sign-up table during the first week of classes. She’s also kicking off the year by hosting Students for Life’s Field Director, Kortney Blythe Gordon, who will lead Pro-Life Apologetics on campus to educate members from both sides of the issue.

Another standout Missionary, Rushad Thomas, a senior at Florida A&M University, has just been accepted as an intern at the James Madison Institute, a conservative research and education-based organization in Tallahassee.

We were thrilled to hear that Scranton native and founder of her campus’ pro-life organization at The College of New Jersey, Rebecca Purdy, was just featured on a local radio station through Domestic Church Media Foundation alongside her group for their pro-life efforts, which has served as excellent promotion material for their group.

We are proud of each of our Missionaries as they advance within the movement and across the nation, and are proud to have taken part in the development of their already impressive drive to spread the culture of life on their campuses and Turn the Tide in America!
