OTTAWA, Ontario (LifeSiteNews) –– New details have emerged revealing that research conducted by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s own office shows many Canadians intentionally hid their COVID jab status from federal pollsters, meaning the actual jab rates may not be as high as initially reported.
According to a recently disclosed memo from Trudeau’s in-house Privy Council Office, researchers concluded that people’s desire to hide their jab status was due to a kind of “social desirability” to be able to claim they were in line with public health orders.
According to Blacklock’s Reporter, a March 2022 Privy Council memo titled Considerations On The Discrepancy Between Booster Dose Uptake, which was made available through an Access to Information request, showed that 68 percent of Canadians had claimed, to federal pollsters, they got a COVID booster when the actual number was only 55 percent.
The memo stated that there are a “few possible reasons for the discrepancy between the survey results and official figures for booster uptake.”
“Social desirability, where respondents tend to answer questions in a manner that will be viewed favorably by others,” it noted.
The memo stated that some respondents could have been counting their “intention” to get the COVID shots, as reasons for hiding their jab status.
Noted the memo, “the most institutionally mistrustful are less likely to participate in surveys and they are the least likely to be vaccinated.”
According to researchers, the official COVID jab rates of Canadians have been exaggerated.
The pollsters said they had “observed a similar trend during the initial rollout of vaccines in the spring of 2021 where the proportion of respondents who indicated they had received a vaccine was roughly 20 points too high.”
“Similarly the same pattern emerged during the summer of 2021 where the proportion of respondents who said they had received two doses was 10 points too high,” added the memo.
The Canadian federal government and all provincial governments spent millions promoting the COVID shots despite the fact they were novel and approved for “emergency” use only.
Trudeau went as far as to scorn unvaccinated Canadians, saying those opposing his measures, such as banning the jab-free from flying, were of a “small, fringe minority” who hold “unacceptable views” and do not “represent the views of Canadians who have been there for each other.”
Official data from the government of Canada says that 83.2 percent of the “total” population has had at least one COVID shot. Of interesting note is that for those aged 0 to 4, only 9.3 percent of the population has had the jab.
A little over a week ago, LifeSiteNews reported about how recently released secret records show Trudeau called the 2021 federal election only two days after a report from his own office revealed that Liberal and NDP voters were more likely to get the COVID shots than those who voted Conservative.
It should also be noted that, according to another secret memo recently released, Trudeau’s office, months before calling the 2021 election, knew the COVID shots caused serious injuries. To combat the negative side effects of the vaccines, the government said “winning communication strategies” must be developed to convince the public to take the jabs.
According to to a recent Public Health Agency of Canada report, less than 22 percent of Canadians said they were trustworthy of federal agencies, considering the aftermath of the COVID crisis.
Overall, COVID left most Canadians with “increased distrust of government and science.”
