WASHINGTON, D.C., September 2, 2015 (LifeSiteNews) – Fox News has produced a one-hour special on the Planned Parenthood fetal body part scandal to be aired this Friday night.

“Planned Parenthood: The Hidden Harvest” will be hosted by Fox correspondent Shannon Bream and will feature an interview with pro-life veteran Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue.

The broadcast is scheduled for 10 p.m. Eastern, September 4.

“This summer, a series of secretly recorded videos have exposed a business in fetal tissue,” the network's promo information states. “Already a number of politicians have called for the defunding of Planned Parenthood, a primary target of the sting, while others support the organization and call this just another salvo in the War on Women.”

Newman is also a board member of the Center for Medical Progress (CMP), the group that has been releasing the series of undercover videos exposing Planned Parenthood's immersion in trafficking of fetal remains and body parts from children aborted at its facilities.

CMP investigators went undercover with Planned Parenthood over several years posing as representatives of a biologic company, with contents of the videos they obtained sparking the largest protest in the 100-year history of Planned Parenthood, and prompting renewed calls for the abortion giant to be defunded.

More than a dozen investigations, state and congressional, have been put in progress resulting from the video revelations, with several states moving to defund Planned Parenthood at the state level.

Fox News said its special on the nation's largest abortion chain will feature exclusive new details about the making of the CMP videos and shed light on “an industry and field of scientific research that many didn't even know existed.”

Newman commended the network's previous handling of another shocking abortion industry scandal: that of late-term abortionist and convicted murderer Kermit Gosnell and his “House of Horrors.”

He then called for pro-life supporters to raise awareness of this latest report.

“Fox News produced an excellent special on the Kermit Gosnell case and I am excited to be a part of what promises to be another extraordinary production,” Newman said. “Please invite everyone you know to watch the Fox News special on Friday evening or set it on the DVR.”
