CONSERVATIVES CONCERNED “HUMAN RIGHTS” EXPANSION

OTTAWA, May 7 (Lifesitenews.com) – Federal Justice Minister Anne McLellan has confirmed some of the worst fears of conservatives with her announcement of a review of the Canadian Human Rights Act (CHRA). Ms. McLellan’s announcement on April 8 of the review indicates an intent to strengthen the legislation and to improve the ability to prosecute people for “human rights” violations. POLL: 71% OF AMERICANS SUPPORT ABORTION RESTRICTIONS

WASHINGTON, May 7 (Lifesitenews.com) – A USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup Poll shows 27% of Americans in favour of legal abortion in all circumstances. The true percentage for those who would be against all abortions are unknown since the poll lumped those who would allow for abortion to save the life of the mother in with those who would okay abortion in cases of rape and incest. FORMER MPP RUNNING FOR FAMILY COALITION PARTY

TORONTO, May 7 (Lifesitenews.com) – Giuseppe Gori, Leader of the Family Coalition Party announced Wednesday that Michael Spensieri, former Liberal MPP for the riding of Yorkview, will run as a candidate for the FCP in the Toronto riding of York Centre. Mr. Spensieri was a member of the Justice Committee and served as shadow cabinet critic for the ministry of Correctional Services,  Attorney General and Solicitor General in the Bill Davis Parliament. If elected, the 50-year-old international business lawyer and father of four would be the first MPP representing the FCP in the Ontario Legislature.

HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania, May 6 (Lifesitenews.com) – A panel of advisers to Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge has come up with a plan to pay for organ donations. A 1984 federal law makes paying for organs a criminal offense, but the panel is sure that their plan is legal.
